My story

The last stop. The one I almost skipped.

I searched in more than ten countries, convinced the answer would be Japan or South Korea. It didn't come there. The Philippines was my last stop — almost an afterthought.

Somewhere between the islands, the heat, and the unhurried rhythm of a place that lives close to the water and even closer to joy — I found ube.
